Industrial design rights are intangible property rights that can be legally disposed of in the same way as other property values. These rights can be transferred to another owner or granted to a third party for use in the form of a license, whereby the owner remains the holder of the rights.
Our office provides comprehensive legal services in relation to industrial design rights. We prepare and negotiate contracts for the transfer of rights, license agreements (exclusive and non-exclusive) and agreements on use.
We also ensure the registration of changes and licenses in the relevant registers kept by the Industrial Property Office (IPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), or the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
The service also includes strategic advice on the appropriate setting of legal relationships with industrial designs. Our goal is to ensure that your industrial rights are not only protected, but also properly managed, commercially exploited, and appreciated in the long term.
