In addition to registrations, he provides legal support in the acquisition and sale of IP portfolios and negotiates licensing agreements in international transactions. As part of M&A and transactional work, he conducts comprehensive due diligence covering the scope, strength and enforceability of IP rights, including risks related to invalidity or circumvention.

Within dispute resolution, he specialises in high-value disputes, particularly in the areas of patents, trademarks and software. He designs litigation strategies with the aim of achieving the most advantageous outcome for the client, whether through settlement or court proceedings.

He represents clients in all types of proceedings before civil courts, arbitration tribunals and administrative authorities in the Czech Republic and abroad. He has extensive experience in proceedings before the Czech Industrial Property Office, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU).

A significant part of his practice is strategic legal advisory and business negotiations. He advises clients in complex transactions and contentious negotiations requiring precise analysis, strong argumentation and a robust strategic approach. He is also actively involved in corporate and transactional matters, particularly mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on intellectual property, GDPR and compliance. He represents clients in both share deals and asset deals and prepares and negotiates shareholders’ agreements, share transfer agreements, business transfer agreements and related transaction documentation. His legal support covers the entire transaction process, from structuring and due diligence to negotiation and closing.
